Advanced Private Loop Lessons (45 minutes)
Join us in Holly/Groveland Township, Michigan for our private advanced loop lessons! These lessons are for athletes who have been training with us or in another program previously. Loop training is very beneficial for skaters to help them learn balance, posture, patience, endurance, and strength. Skaters can qualify for advanced private loop lessons after being approved by one of our instructors.
BONUS: The loop jump is one of the most difficult single-rotation jumps skaters will learn. In addition to the loop figures taught in these lessons, skaters at this level will also begin freestyle (including the loop jump; freestyle is the discipline in artistic roller figure skating that includes jumps and spins)!
Cost: $25/lesson
These lessons help prepare skaters for the achievement testing program through Roller Skating Association, International. Skaters at this level will also have the option of competing at the local and regional levels, as well as qualifying for the national and world championships through USA Roller Sports. Each skater will also get one-on-one attention so every skater can reach their full potential.
Use of traditional roller skates are also included for the duration of the lesson; although, an equipment purchase should be considered by this level. Traditional roller skates continue to be recommended for use in lessons to provide the best foundation in any and all roller skating sports. Skaters will be able to transfer knowledge and skill to other types of skates such as inline, hockey, ice, etc.

Each advanced private loop lesson begins with approximately five to ten minutes of lace-up and warm-up time. The roller skating teacher will provide approximately 30 minutes of instruction, depending on the attention span and skill level of the skater(s). We wrap up with the remaining time used for "free practice," in which skaters can practice their newly learned skills to music.
Our advanced private loop lessons are best utilized on a twice+ weekly basis. Recommendations for additional practice at area rinks may be made.
